Are you up for a challenge - mentally, physically and spiritually?

In early July, a group from our parish including Fr James, Fr Charles and Fr David, plans to walk all the way from Wanstead to Canterbury on pilgrimage.  The route, which is roughly 75 miles, is split over seven days and we hope that you might like to join us for some (or even all!) of the way.

People have made pilgrimages to Canterbury for over a thousand years, and many of them have been on foot.  We hope to find mental, physical and spiritual refreshment on the way, as well as raising much-needed funds for our Inspire Wanstead project to renew Christ Church's building.

Highlights of the planned pilgrimage include a special FAMILY DAY on Saturday 5th July, which includes a shorter, child-friendly, walk and a picnic lunch, as well as some fun games afterwards.

We hope that everyone might join the pilgrims in Canterbury for our special Eucharist service and subsequent celebration, on Tuesday 8th July.  Why not make a day of it, and enjoy all that the wonderful city of Canterbury has to offer?

Below you will find a link to the Pilgrim '25 brochure, which gives more information about the route and what each day entails, as well as answering some F.A.Q.s.

Click here to fill in the information form to register your interest in any part of the pilgrimage - from walking, to attending the Family Day, to attending the final Eucharist in Canterbury.
